Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Fuel Injection System Design & Release Engineer to own core engine fuel-injection components, including high-pressure fuel pump, injectors, rails, and lines. You will develop components, manage changes, and work with CAE groups to optimize designs.

The role covers DFMEA, DVP&R, source packages, APQP meetings, prototype parts, DV/PV testing, and post-test reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of fuel injection design/release experience.
• Proficient in CAD/CAE/CFD/FEA and GD&T.
• Ability to perform basic fluid flow and sealing calculations.
• Strong communication and PC skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Design and release fuel injection components for major engine families.
• Lead changes and drive continuous improvement for performance and fuel economy.
• Collaborate with designers and CAE to optimize designs using DFMEA for risk.
• Prepare source packages, APQP meetings, prototype parts, DV/PV testing.
• Support product launch including testing, manufacturing reviews, and service procedures.
