Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Fuel Injection System Design & Release Engineer to own core engine fuel injection components across one or more engine families.

You will collaborate with design and CAE teams to optimize designs, lead DFMEA and build a robust DVP&R, and drive source packages, APQP meetings, and prototype part testing toward successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of fuel injection design/release experience.
• CAD/CAE/CFD/FEA/GD&T knowledge required.
• Ability to perform basic fluid flow and sealing pressure calculations.
• Excellent communication and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and release core engine fuel injection components (e.g., high pressure pump, injectors, rails).
• Collaborate with designers and CAE groups to optimize designs.
• Lead DFMEA, build robust DVP& R and ensure testing to reliability goals.
• Initiate source packages and APQP meetings; manage prototype parts and testing.
• Support product launch activities, change management and continuous improvement.
