Job summary

Victory Live is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in an Engineering Lead role to guide the B2C product stack, including web storefronts, checkout, and mobile apps. You will set technical direction, contribute to code, and drive reliability and performance across a distributed team.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Leadership to translate priorities into robust software, while balancing scalability, security, and user experience in a fast-paced live events marketplace.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including leading technical delivery for a team or major product area.
• Strong proficiency in modern TypeScript and JavaScript development with React/Next.js and Node.js backend or serverless services.
• Experience with React Native/Expo or mobile app stacks and integration with Rails/Python backends.
• Deep understanding of API design, distributed systems, caching, and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own technical execution for Victory Live’s B2C platform across web, checkout, mobile and backend services.
• Lead design and implementation of high-impact initiatives while contributing to production code.
• Set technical direction, decompose goals into plans, surface tradeoffs and delivery risks early.
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term technical roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen architecture, testing, and deployment practices.
