Job summary

Codilar is seeking an accomplished Front-end Architect/Lead to direct the architecture, design, and development of enterprise web experiences using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS). You will craft reusable UI blocks, set standards, and drive performance and accessibility across global teams.

The role requires deep JavaScript/HTML/CSS expertise, experience with modern frameworks, and collaboration with UX, product, backend, and QA stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality front-end

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise web experiences using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
• Build reusable and configurable EDS blocks and components with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Define UI architecture, coding standards, development patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Develop responsive, accessible, cross-browser compatible, high-performance user interfaces.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, performance, SEO, and accessibility.
• Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, UX designers, backend developers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Integrate front-end experiences with APIs and enterprise services.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering, security, accessibility, and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot complex UI, integration, deployment, and production issues.
• Support estimation, technical planning, solution design, release activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to software development standards, Agile methodologies, QA, and governance.

Job description

• 8+ years of experience in front-end/UI development, with experience leading technical teams or workstreams.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise web experiences using Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS).
• Build reusable and configurable EDS blocks and components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Define UI architecture, coding standards, development patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Develop responsive, accessible, cross-browser-compatible, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Optimize solutions for Core Web Vitals, page performance, SEO, and accessibility.
• Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into scalable technical implementations.
• Work closely with architects, product owners, UX designers, backend developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Integrate front-end experiences with APIs and enterprise services.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering, security, accessibility, and performance standards.

Technical Skills:

• In depth knowledge in HTML5, CSS3 (Less, Sass, Stylus is a plus), knowledge of BEM methodology is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Detailed knowledge of JavaScript ES6.
• Experience with Atomic design paradigm is a plus.
• Experience in any JS framework ( React, Vue, etc.,).
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with Micro Front End concepts and Headless Implementation would be a plus.
• Understanding of Web Accessibility WCAG guidelines.
• Experience in building UI for AEM is an added advantage.
• Experience working with Magento UI Theming, PWA would be a plus
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Gulp or Grunt or webpack experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
