Compunnel, Inc. seeks a highly accomplished Senior Frontend Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience to lead frontend architecture across web and mobile platforms in Jersey City, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10+ years of frontend/full-stack engineering experience, with client-side focus.
• 10+ years of proficiency in HTML5 semantics, accessibility, and Web APIs.
• 10+ years of CSS expertise including Grid, Flexbox, animations, theming, and CSS-in-JS/Tailwind.
• 10+ years of deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, types, generics, decorators, module systems.
• 10+ years of production-grade experience with React and/or Angular (hooks, context, state, rendering).
• 10+ years of solid browser internals knowledge (rendering pipeline, event loop, DevTools).
• Excellent communication to explain trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and ability to drive ambiguous problems to resolution.
• 10+ years of experience leading technical initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the front-end architecture across web and mobile platforms for scalability and performance.
• Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and component-library conventions for the org.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and road-mapping with accurate effort estimates and risk surfacing.
