Bounteous is seeking an experienced AEM Full Stack Architect to lead design, development, and migration of enterprise-scale web platforms built on Adobe Experience Manager and EDS. You will mentor teams, drive architecture decisions, and deliver scalable, AI-assisted delivery.

The role demands hands-on coding, strong client-facing communication, and expertise in AEM architecture, CMS strategies, and performance optimization across multiple projects.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced AEM Full Stack Architect to lead the design, development, and migration of enterprise-scale web platforms built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x/Cloud) and Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AEM architecture, headless/hybrid CMS strategies, content migration, and performance optimization, along with a strong track record of technical leadership and mentoring development teams. The Architect should have hands on coding with AI-based tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead end-to-end implementation of AEM Sites, Assets and Adobe EDS solutions, including environment setup, repository structuring, and dispatcher/CDN configuration.
• Drive migration initiatives from legacy CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Drupal) or AEM 6.x to Adobe AEMaaCS and EDS.
• Design and implement scalable components & Templates in AEM, For EDS- reusable blocks, models, and definitions for dynamic content elements.
• Define and enforce content migration strategies using manual, automation, and AI-assisted tooling.
• Lead technical estimations, solutioning, and budgeting across multiple concurrent projects.
• Establish and govern Git/PR workflows, coding standards, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS, Adobe Cloud Manager).
• Based on client approvals, candidate should support AI tools enabled delivery.
• Architect ACL-based permission models, content authoring workflows, and multi-site management (MSM, live copies, blueprints, language copies).
• Oversee integrations with third-party systems such as CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Hybris), chatbots, Google Maps, and analytics/personalization tools (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch).
• Hands-on experience migrating and building new, greenfield solutions on AEMaaCS and using the Adobe Admin Console and Cloud Manager
• Guide performance optimization efforts including image handling (Dynamic Media/Scene7), lazy loading, and caching strategies.
• Good to have - Customize and extend AEM Guides (DITA) for enterprise documentation needs.
• Mentor and upskill client-side development teams and authors on AEM/EDS best practices.
• Experience building custom metadata schemas for AEM Assets
• Experience migrating tens or hundreds of thousands of assets(+) to AEM Assets using Adobe tooling
• Experience integrating third-party solutions with AEM Assets
• Experience integrating Workfront and Creative Cloud with AEM Assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (business, UX, QA, DevOps) to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience and Core Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience with AEM 6.x and AEM as a Cloud Service
• Proven expertise in Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS)
• Experience with EDS using both Universal Editor and da.live Experience Workspace
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, JCR
• Architecture & IntegrationExperience designing complex AEM Projects including headless and Hybrid solutions.
• Experience in component/template architecture, content fragments, experience fragments, complex workflows etc.
• Familiarity with MSM, live copies, blueprints, and multi-language content strategies
• Integration experience with REST APIs and third-party services
• Experience with AEM Guides (DITA) is a plus
• Good to have - Integration experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Hybris)

DevOps & Performance

• Mandatory - Adobe Cloud Manager Pipelines; Version control and CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, AWS Pipelines & other AWS Tools
• Performance monitoring and optimization in AEM: Good to have - exposure with any tools like New Relic, Varnish, CloudFront, Nginx.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers
• Strong client-facing communication and requirements-gathering skills
• Experience with project estimation, solutioning, and delivery management
• Ability to train internal/client teams on platform capabilities and best practices
• Providing strong technical guidance to other team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Adobe AEM Certification (Sites)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
