Job summary

Iverson is seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer who obsessively pursues smooth mobile experiences and owns React Native like a product. You will lead the front-end architecture for a consumer app heavy on long-form audio/video, translating designs into pixel-perfect UIs on iOS and Android, while establishing standards, tooling, and performance budgets.

You will drive cross-project front-end initiatives, mentor peers, and own the end-to-end quality of the mobile codebase, including Expo ecosystem,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in front-end/mobile development
• 3+ years deep in React Native (Expo preferred)
• Portfolio or live apps required

Responsibilities

• Own the React Native (Expo) codebase: architecture, scalability, maintainability, cross-platform consistency
• Design and implement a shared design system—reusable components, theming, typography, spacing
• Lead media player development: streaming audio/video playback, background mode, mini-player, offline support
• Drive performance and reliability: fast startup, smooth scrolling, low memory usage
• Own client-side state management, caching, offline-first patterns, and API orchestration
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible UIs for iOS/Android
• Set front-end standards: folder structure, components, testing, linting, CI/CD
• Debug platform-specific issues across devices and network conditions
