Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Boys Freshman Basketball Head Coach for the winter season (November–February). This part-time role requires leading the program, coaching the freshman team, and collaborating with the athletic staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining high academic standards, supervising coaches, organizing schedules, and ensuring safety and eligibility of student-athletes.

Qualifications

Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels.
Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in a current CPR and First Aid course.
Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

Responsibilities

To assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes.
To assist the athletic director and principal in hiring and/or retention of assistant coaches.
To direct, supervise, and evaluate regularly the performance of all assistant coaches of the respective sport.
To work cooperatively with the athletic director to assure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
To work cooperatively with other head athletic coaches to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
To foster values of athletics, good sportsmanship, and pride in self, team, school, and community.
To direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team and lead/assist the coaches.
To be a positive influence on the behavior of the athletic staff and teams.
To be present at all varsity contests and as many junior varsity and freshman contests as possible.
To advise on schedules, evaluations of officials, equipment needs, and maintenance of facilities.
To ensure eligibility lists are maintained and athletes are cleared for competition.
To organize recruitment of equipment managers, score keepers, statisticians, etc.
To collect records, statistics, and photographs for the teams.
