Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a head basketball coach for a high school in the Lightridge area. The season runs in winter (November–February), demanding leadership of the varsity program and coordination with the athletic director and principal.

The role requires coaching experience at high school or college levels, CPR/First Aid training, and a preferred Virginia teaching license or classified employee status.

Responsibilities

• Assist the athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all assistant coaches.
• Work cooperatively with the athletic director to ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Foster sportsmanship and school pride among participants and spectators.
• Direct training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team; lead and assist coaches.
