Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Lead Freight Ops to drive freight activities for live events in Orlando, FL. You will lead dock labor, coordinate show-site operations, and ensure safe, efficient handling of all freight tasks while interfacing with customers and internal staff.

You will spend over 50% of time performing the same work as the team you lead, report to show-site leadership, and work full-time in-office or show-site in Orlando. Experience in freight or trade shows is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of trade show or related experience required.
• Should be familiar with Freight Procedures Manual and Freight Operations resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock labor at show site by assigning qualified personnel.
• Adhere to safe operations practices to reduce and control safety violations.
• Lead loading and unloading show site dock operations.
• Interact with customers, sales, and operations staff to provide top service.
• Ensure equipment and tools are ready for use; inform show lead of needs.
• Remove malfunctioning equipment and assist with returns after shows.
• Ensure labor requests are submitted and tracked.
• Follow set hours of operation and labor at show site.
• Follow Freight Procedures Manual paperwork procedures.
• Confirm advance freight delivery arrangements for show sites.
• Keep job costs within budget without compromising service.
• Provide excellent customer service and protect company liabilities.
• Prepare payroll forms and time cards for assigned shows.
• Participate in training and lead show site safety and customer service meetings.
• Comply with Freeman policies and procedures.
