Job summary

Clark Construction seeks an experienced Senior Estimator (Foundations) in McLean, VA, to lead cost estimating for geostructural projects, including SOE and deep foundations. The role emphasizes HeavyBid-based estimates, coordination with operations and engineering, and risk management.

The candidate will review geotechnical data, manage bid processes, and mentor junior staff, with travel to active sites as needed. A strong attention to detail and knowledge of foundation systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years estimating experience in heavy civil or specialty foundation.
• Expert-level knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid; Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and MS Office.
• Strong communication and ability to present estimates and risks to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complete estimates from takeoff to bid submission.
• Review geotechnical reports and drawings to determine methods.
• Manage HeavyBid templates and rate databases.
• Coordinate subcontractor/vendor quotes for materials and services.
• Identify project risks and quantify impact on budget.
