Job summary

Snorkel AI in New York is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on Synthetic Data Generation to partner with leading AI labs and enterprises on critical AI initiatives.

You will lead the technical execution of complex engagements where synthetic data improves model training, evaluation, and performance. You will translate ambiguities into data strategies and build scalable generation pipelines, while delivering production-grade datasets with clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in machine learning engineering, data science, forward deployed engineering, or similar technical role.
• Strong Python skills and production data/ML systems experience, incl. containerizing with Docker and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable synthetic data generation, transformation, filtering, and evaluation pipelines.
• Translate objectives, failure modes, and data gaps into synthetic data strategies and experiments.
• Develop LLM- and ML-assisted workflows for high-quality training and evaluation datasets.
• Create automated evaluators, quality checks, and measurement frameworks for data and model quality.
• Lead technical workstreams from solution design to production delivery and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
