Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a hands-on Supervisor, Formulations to lead dose formulation activities, manage test materials, and help grow a new laboratory within a fast-paced CRO. You will mentor staff, ensure SOP maintenance, and support regulatory compliance while collaborating with Study Directors and cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related science and 2-3 years of formulations experience, with preference for CRO environment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• 2-3 years of hands-on formulations experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dose formulation and test material management activities in support of preclinical research studies.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of test article formulations, vehicle formulations, and chemical solutions according to study protocols.
• Assist with the setup and expansion of a new laboratory, including workflow implementation and equipment organization.
• Develop, review, update, and maintain SOPs to support laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
• Train, mentor, and provide day-to-day guidance to Formulations staff.
• Manage the receipt, inventory, storage, retention, and disposition of test materials.
• Support Dose Formulation Analysis (DFA) activities and ensure accurate documentation and sample tracking.
• Collaborate with Study Directors and cross-functional teams to meet study timelines.
