Job summary

Innospec Inc. in Salisbury, NC, is seeking a Formulations Scientist to lead the Americas region, formulating and commercializing HI&I ingredients. You will manage lab data, multi-task, and solve problems while providing technical expertise in written and oral presentations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on formulation experience with surfactants, and contribute to joint development projects with the global team. Travel up to 25% and a strong regulatory focus are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry.
• 5 years of experience in formulation and applications in detergents industry or with surfactants manufacturers.
• Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
• Position located in Salisbury, NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, regulatory and application assistance to customers through daily technical support.
• Formulation development in the laboratory.
• Develop commercially viable formulations meeting performance, economics and regulatory requirements.
• Visit customers to promote products and assist with technical issues.
• Keep accurate records of lab activities and report findings.
