Job summary

Americold is seeking a dependable warehouse associate in Belvidere, IL. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load/unload shipments, and move products to proper storage areas while maintaining safety and accurate inventory.

You may lead parts of the shift, train new associates, and coordinate with supervisors to meet daily objectives. A GED/HS diploma and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months’ related experience preferred.
• Some computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of others at up to 25% of the shift, coordinate daily plan with supervisor.
• Load and unload freight using equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move product to storage areas and stack/store merchandise properly.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble items for shipping.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; maintain warehouse security.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in inventories as needed.
• Operate equipment safely (stand up/ sit down forklifts, pallet jacks, RC devices).
• Report safety malfunctions and comply with OSHA standards.
