H2M architects + engineers, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, seeks a full or part-time Engineer or Architect for a Senior Project Consultant role. The position emphasizes leading projects and maintaining client relationships in the insurance industry.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering or Architecture with 8+ years of experience, EIT, and potentially PE/RA licensure, plus strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• EIT required.
• Minimum 8+ years engineering or architectural experience with forensic engineering.
• Experience with insurance companies and law firms preferred; deposition/testimony helps.
• Strong analytical and field inspection skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Ability to write technical reports; knowledge of building structures.
• Project management and supervisory experience highly desired.
• Experience with premises and walking surface investigations; product defects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations to determine cause, origin, and extent of damage for insurance clients.
• Investigate damages from catastrophes such as storms, hurricanes, and floods.
• Research literature and apply engineering principles per codes and standards.
• Provide detailed forensic reports outlining damage causes for clients.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate timelines and updates with staff and clients regularly.
• Local travel and inspections of homes, roofs, and crawlspaces required.
