Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction or custom fabrication, including management or supervisory experience.
• Proven background in metalwork, custom carpentry, or architectural fabrication.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Safety-conscious mindset with a working knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience with estimating, project management software, and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a crew of 4-5 in field construction and fabrication.
• Oversee commercial tenant improvements, small ground-up work, and fabrications.
• Perform hands-on metal fabrication and carpentry.
• Prepare cost estimates, takeoffs, and proposals.
• Coordinate project schedules and manage subcontractors.
• Communicate plans with design teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain safe, organized job sites per OSHA standards.
• Track time, materials, and progress.
• Troubleshoot field challenges with efficient solutions.
