Job summary

Nike Inc. is seeking a Lead Designer for Streetwear Looks of Jordan to drive innovative footwear from concept to reality in Beaverton, OR. You will mentor peers, translate consumer insights into design narratives, and collaborate with marketing, engineering, and development teams.

Required are 6+ years in footwear design, strong 2D/3D capabilities, and a passion for streetwear culture. Prototyping, crobbling, and presentation skills are valued assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
• Experience in technical footwear design.
• Strong connection to streetwear culture, music, art evident in portfolio.
• Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills.
• Build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
• Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus.
• 3D design programs experience is a plus.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
• Experience with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor designers within the Jordan streetwear footwear team.
• Collaborate with Senior Director and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Engineering, Development).
• Translate insights into innovative footwear concepts from concept to reality.
• Deliver compelling visuals and tech packs for productions and presentations.
• Present work in reviews and drive partnerships beyond the design function.
