Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a jail/correctional facility. You will report to the Food Service Director and must be available for weekends and holidays.

The shift runs 5am–2pm, with a $1,500 signing bonus. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, paid training, career advancement opportunities, Life Insurance & AD&D, and voluntary disability and other coverages.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team in producing quality foods per menu and instructions.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining a neat, food-safe workstation.
• Serve meals according to planned schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks and stay organized.
• Stand for extended periods and remain on your feet during shifts.
• Other duties as needed.

About This Position

The Lead Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
