Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Lead Food Service Worker to prepare and serve a variety of meals within a correctional setting. The role reports to a Food Service Director and is located on-site inside a jail/correctional facility.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, are at least 18, and can lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in institutional food service is a plus, with opportunities for growth and paid training within a supportive team environment.

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team in making quality foods per menus and instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe workstation and perform cleanup duties.
• Serve meals per schedule and department procedures; use kitchen utensils and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and proper storage of items.
• Collaborate with team; adapt to changes and remain flexible.

About This Position

The Lead Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
