Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a correctional facility, reporting to the Food Service Director. The role requires passion for food service, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work as part of a team in a structured environment.

Position is on-site, with shifts including early mornings and some weekends/holidays; training and opportunities for advancement are provided, along with benefits and a signing bonus where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred institutional food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Maintain a neat and food safe workstation; clean as you go and manage waste.
• Follow all food safety regulations regarding sanitation, storage and handling.
• Assist with other kitchen tasks and adapt to changing requirements.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

4am to 2:30pm

$1500 bonus!

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but is not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
