Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer facing experience in food service, hospitality, or retail in a large institutional setting.
• Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: greet, assist patients, customers, vendors, and staff; provide accurate information; maintain professional environment.
• General Safety and Sanitation: follow hand washing procedures, prevent cross contamination, use PPE, label and date supplies, clean surfaces.
• Receiving: reconcile deliveries, check quality/quantity, document discrepancies, ensure proper holding temperatures.
• Inventory Management: conduct manual inventory, order supplies, secure storerooms, monitor temperatures.
• Stocking and Issuing Supplies: pull products using pullsheets, fulfill requests, meet deadlines.
• Other Functions and Responsibilities: perform other duties, report hazards, train new staff, complete training, troubleshoot IT downtime.
