Job summary

LDK Talent Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing/Production Manager for a food manufacturing client in New Jersey. You will oversee daily production operations, manage schedules, and lead a team to meet quality, safety, and cost targets.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, inventory control, process optimization, and reporting to senior management. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production leadership within food manufacturing and strong regulatory knowledge (FDA/USDA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Production Operations: Manage and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient operations and meet production schedules.
• Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with planning and procurement to develop schedules, allocate resources, and optimize workflow.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements; implement quality control procedures and inspections.
• Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and reduce waste.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe environment, conduct safety training and inspections per OSHA guidelines.
