Job summary

Legends Global seeks a Food & Beverage Manager for Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, AZ. You will lead daily F&B operations, plan events, manage budgets, and ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will coordinate with culinary teams, vendors, and staff to deliver seamless service during conventions, trade shows, and community events. A hands-on leader with strong compliance and profitability focus is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of food and beverage, hospitality, venue, convention center, catering, banquet, or event operations experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of retail POS systems, including policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of FOH/BOH operations, catering, concessions, and event service.
• Experience coordinating large-scale events, banquets, concessions, or high-volume F&B operations.
• Experience scheduling contingent, temporary, or contract labor is desirable.
• Experience with BEOs, Work Orders, and event management systems such as Momentus or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Food & Beverage in planning, organization, financial performance, and daily operations.
• Maintain expertise in systems; participate in Work Orders, BEOs, event planning, and meetings to ensure staffing, equipment, inventory, service, and logistics needs are met.
• Manage and support event operations from setup through breakdown, ensuring seamless execution with staff, clients, vendors, culinary teams, and guests.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, cash handling, and SOPs.
• Analyze budgets, forecasts, labor and product costs, ticket sales, event projections, and P&L to support decisions.
• Assist with development, review, and implementation of contracts, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and direct team members, contingent labor, and event staff for operational excellence.
• Conduct inspections and pre-event walkthroughs to verify quality, readiness, and service expectations.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory management, receiving, storage, and par levels to support operations.
• Maintain organized concessions and back-of-house areas while enforcing cleanliness and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time and collaborate with other departments to deliver successful events.
• Complete required reports, document results, identify improvements, and perform additional duties as assigned.
