Job summary

Randstad USA in Bolingbrook, IL seeks an experienced Folder Gluer Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain folding carton production lines. The role focuses on high-speed gluing equipment, leading crews and ensuring quality and food-safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Folder Gluer experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven ability to read production schedules and tickets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience operating Folder Gluer machines.
• Experience in folding carton/packaging manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Experience performing machine make-readies and setup of glue systems.
• Ability to read production schedules and job tickets.
• Ability to lead and work with production crews.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate folder gluer equipment for production jobs.
• Perform complete machine make-readies including feeder, pre-fold, folding, delivery, glue setup and verification.
• Read schedules, tickets, work orders and customer specs.
• Verify glue patterns, folding specs and labeling requirements; ensure quality.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot jams or glue issues.
• Lead and support gluing crew; maintain SQF food safety standards.
• Complete production reports (quantities, waste, downtime, start/stop).
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate status to next crew.
