Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Fluid Power, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience designing hydraulic, pneumatic circuits, components, and system integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar programs.
• Ability to develop and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to independently manage design responsibilities and provide technical guidance to other team members.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with industrial automation, machine tools, or powertrain assembly equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems for industrial equipment.
• Create and review fluid power schematics, circuit designs, and engineering drawings.
• Specify system components and ensure designs meet customer specifications and project requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through equipment design, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and release components for procurement.
• Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning at customer facilities.
• Assist applications engineering with system concepts, technical proposals, and cost estimates.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and identify opportunities for system improvements.
