Job summary

The Yacht Club, a waterfront dining and events destination in New York City, seeks a Floor Manager to lead a high-volume front-of-house team and deliver an elevated guest experience. The role reports to the General Manager and guides daily operations on the floor.

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per year with a seasonal schedule. Responsibilities include service leadership, staff training, inventory oversight, and ensuring health and safety standards are met to exceed guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential job functions in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods.
• Able to lift 30+ lbs.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, per the needs of the business.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Must love sunsets
• Organizational skills
• Polished personal presentation; grooming per Company standards.
• Willingness to work in outdoor climate conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving financial goals while ensuring the integrity of the business.
• Assist with food and beverage inventories and ordering.
• Comply with health sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and safety protocols.
• Observe sanitation and safety training; follow Crew safety standards.
• Conduct DOH walk-throughs and enforce sanitary practices and policies; address DOH violations promptly.
• Ensure extraordinary guest service; manage unsatisfied guest concerns with upper management.
• Execute daily service and reporting; maintain consistency and quality in food, drink, and service.
• Lead daily service and guest satisfaction; train staff with General Manager.
• Perform all POS functions including opening/closing, comps, voids, and table transfers.
• Provide friendly, motivated, detail-oriented service to create a memorable dining experience.
• Uphold established culture and values of Crew.
