Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc seeks an experienced Flight Control System V&V Engineer to lead system-level verification and validation of the Flight Control System on the BWB Demonstrator. You will ensure compliance with requirements, integration verification, robustness, and airworthiness across all operating conditions.

The role emphasizes end-to-end V&V, including requirements tracing, model-based testing, and collaboration with systems engineering, software, and avionics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in flight control system or avionics system validation & verification.
• Strong experience with system-level V&V of safety-critical aerospace systems.
• Solid understanding of FCS architectures, redundancy management, and system integration principles.
• Experience with model-based verification and simulation-driven test environments.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, scripting languages, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability tools.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, highly integrated development program.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering teams.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute system-level V&V strategies for the Flight Control System across the full development lifecycle.
• Own and maintain FCS verification plans, procedures, and matrices, aligned with milestones and certification objectives.
• Perform requirements-based and function-based verification including allocation, traceability, and coverage analysis.
• Verify FCS functional performance, mode logic, redundancy, reversion strategies, and fault detection.
• Execute verification in MIL, SIL, and HIL environments with integrated system behavior.
• Coordinate interface verification between FCS and avionics, sensors, actuators, propulsion, and vehicle systems.
• Support robustness, failure case, and abnormal/emergency scenario testing (batch and Monte Carlo).
• Collaborate with systems engineering, software, avionics, safety, and flight test teams for cohesive verification.
• Support safety assessments by providing verification evidence and substantiation.
• Identify verification risks and lead investigation and closure activities.
• Prepare verification reports, data packages, and certification artifacts.
• Contribute to V&V process and standard improvements for advanced aircraft systems.
