Job description

Lead Fleet Technician (Finance)

Coke Florida is seeking a Lead Fleet Mechanic based in Tampa, working from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do:

As a Lead Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for scheduling and performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles. You will also assist in scheduling, coaching, and developing team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Train, coach, and provide daily direction to team members.
2. Coordinate and monitor repair and work schedules.
3. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all types of fleet equipment.
4. Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
5. Carry out mechanical repairs, including engine, clutch, oil changes, washing, cleaning, greasing, transmission, brake repairs, tire changes, and inspection of hoses, belts, fluids, and wiring.
6. Respond to fleet service calls and handle vehicle pickup and delivery.
7. Conduct preventative maintenance and D.O.T. inspections, identifying unsafe conditions.
8. Maintain tools and equipment to company standards.
9. Act as back-up support for the fleet supervisor as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of mechanic experience with light and heavy equipment.
• Experience with Heavy Duty and PIT equipment.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to supply automotive hand tools (excluding heavy-duty or diagnostic tools).

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification.
• Over 3 years of journeyman mechanic experience.
• Experience with gasoline, diesel, and propane vehicles.
• ASE certification and CDL license or certification are highly preferred.
