Coke Florida is looking for a Lead Fleet Mechanic based out of our Tampa location, working from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do:

As a Lead Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for scheduling and performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles. You will also assist in scheduling, coaching, and developing other team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Train, coach, and provide day-to-day direction to team members as needed.
• Coordinate and monitor department repair and employee work schedules.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of fleet equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Perform mechanical repairs including engine, clutch, oil changes, washing and cleaning, greasing, transmission, brake repairs, tire changes, and inspection of hoses, belts, fluids, and wiring.
• Respond to fleet service calls, pick up, and deliver vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance and D.O.T. inspections using prescribed checklists, and identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain tools and equipment to company standards.
• Act as backup support for the fleet supervisor as needed.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment.
• Experience with Heavy Duty and PIT equipment.
• Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to supply automotive hand tools (excluding heavy-duty or diagnostic tools).

Additional Qualifications:

• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
• 3+ years journeyman mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with gasoline, diesel, and propane vehicles preferred.
• ASE certification and CDL license or certification highly preferred.
