Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc.—Ingalls Shipbuilding division—seeks a qualified manager to lead Planning Yard Services in Norfolk, coordinating engineering, logistics, and material support for PY Services programs.

The role involves interfacing with SEA21 PMs, TYCOMs, and government activities, with 25%–50% travel. A bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience are required; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years of progressive professional and/or supervisory experience; master’s degree reduces required experience.

Responsibilities

Provide management oversight of Planning Yard Services activities in Norfolk.
Oversee life cycle engineering, logistics, and material support for PY Services programs.
Interface with SEA21 Program Management Representatives, Regional Maintenance Center Representatives, Type Commanders, installing activity and government representatives.
Maintain PY Services presence in the Norfolk area and promote engineering, logistics, and material support capabilities to customers on the waterfront.
Represent PY Services in key meetings in Norfolk, Pascagoula, and other localities as required.
Provide program analysis, status, and recommendations to Customer and PY Services management.
