Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Lead Mechanic in Jeannette, PA, with a Monday–Friday day shift and 8:00 AM–4:00 PM hours. The role includes $38–$40/hr, benefits, 401(k) match, and 3 weeks PTO.

You will lead a fleet of equipment, perform diagnostics, and oversee parts and vendor coordination to keep the fleet reliable and productive. The position involves 30–40% field work with local travel and occasional overnight trips, plus a service truck and paid travel/hotels.

Qualifications

• Solid diesel, heavy equipment, agricultural or fleet mechanic experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Comfortable with hydraulics, brakes, electrical and general mechanical repairs.
• Able to work independently and make decisions without being babysat.
• Organized enough to handle parts, vendors and multiple repairs.
• Comfortable working in the field and traveling periodically.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and out in the field.
• Handle preventative maintenance and keep equipment service-ready.
• Order parts and keep the shop organized.
• Work with vendors on larger repairs and warranty work.
• Coordinate equipment getting to and from outside vendors.
• Help prioritize repairs and advise on equipment condition.
• Handle occasional emergency breakdowns when something needs to get back up and running.
