What you will be doing... Your IMPACT

  • Coordinate and perform inspections of moorings and barges to identify damage, water accumulation, or cargo spillage, ensuring timely repairs.
  • Operate work boats safely, following Rules of the Road navigation standards.
  • Communicate with vessel crews and logistics teams to track incoming/outgoing barges and identify maintenance needs.
  • Monitor barge drafts and maintain comprehensive logs of fleet and vessel inspections.
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment, including safety gear, PPE, and essential deck supplies.
  • Prepare barges for loading/unloading operations and ensure they are in safe, operable condition.
  • Operate a variety of equipment safely, including forklifts, Bobcats, dozers, and back/track hoes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the fleet, document discrepancies, and report issues to appropriate stakeholders.

What we are looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be eligible for a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
  • Availability to work a rotating schedule with occasional overtime and on-call support.

Even better if you have:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • 5+ Years of marine industry experience related to fleet operations is preferred.
  • Ability to acquire a Shipyard Competent Person Training Certificate is preferred.
