Job Description: Lead Fleet Automotive Maintenance Technician

We operate 24/7 call centers to support scheduled and unscheduled fleet services anywhere, anytime.

Role Summary

As a Lead Fleet Automotive Maintenance Technician, you will be the expert responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles, leading a team, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your love for cars and people, combined with your technical expertise, will keep our fleet moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, including advanced diagnostics and customer interactions.
  2. Conduct various repairs based on certification levels, including systems like OBD II, brakes, tires, electrical, and more.
  3. Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and proper disposal of fluids.
  4. Create and maintain vehicle records and assist in upfitting vehicles.
  5. Perform complex repairs, diagnostics, and fabrication, including welding and equipment design.
  6. Coordinate parts and repairs with vendors and provide roadside assistance if needed.
  7. Supervise shop productivity, provide work direction, and mentor technicians.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and company policies.
  9. Lead safety initiatives, manage inventory, and oversee shop tools and equipment.
  10. Contribute to team morale and perform quality control checks.
  11. Train and orient new employees and assist with HR compliance.
  12. Support safety, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master ASE certification preferred.
  • Ability to operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong safety awareness, organizational skills, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with diesel, transmissions, and complex repairs preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, DOT medical card, and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple applications and vehicle types.
Benefits & Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $31.49 to $47.26, with potential additional incentives. Benefits include health insurance from DAY ONE, 401(k) matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more. Total paid time off includes at least 6.67 hours monthly plus holidays and other leave options.
