Job Description: Lead Fleet Automotive Maintenance Technician

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide. We are looking for a Master-level Technician who can lead our shop team, perform complex repairs, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including diagnostics and advanced repairs.
  2. Maintain accurate vehicle records and ensure safety standards are met.
  3. Supervise shop productivity, provide work direction, and mentor technicians.
  4. Ensure shop tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
  5. Lead safety compliance and promote a positive shop environment.
  6. Assist in inventory management and vendor relationships.
  7. Perform quality control checks and train new employees as needed.
  8. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and DOT requirements.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Master ASE certification preferred.
  3. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 75 pounds.
  4. Extensive experience with diesel, transmissions, and complex vehicle repairs.
  5. Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; ability to pass DOT physical and background check.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Benefits and Compensation

Hourly pay ranges from $31.49 to $47.26, with additional incentives possible. Benefits include health insurance from day one, 401(k) matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. A $2,500 new hire bonus is offered, with 50% paid after 30 days and 50% after 180 days. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
