Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a Head of Business Risk & Controls to build and lead the first-line risk and control framework across fiduciary, custody, and regulated financial services activities in the US. The role focuses on identifying risks, designing controls, and ensuring ongoing effectiveness in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of US banking or regulated financial services experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and improving first-line control frameworks.
• Deep working knowledge of US banking regulation and supervisory expectations.
• Experience supporting fiduciary, trust, custody, or related banking activities.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a high-ambiguity, fast-scaling environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the first-line risk and control framework across relevant MoonPay activities.
• Embed controls into processes translating regulatory requirements into practical controls.
• Establish a robust control monitoring and testing program.
• Develop the framework supporting fiduciary, custody, and other regulated activities.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit to ensure clear ownership and accountability.
• Scale control infrastructure as MoonPay evolves and grows.
