Job summary

MoonPay is seeking a Head of Business Risk & Controls to build and lead a robust first-line risk framework for fiduciary, custody, and regulated financial services in a fast-scaling US environment.

You will work with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit to establish clear ownership, strengthen controls, and ensure ongoing monitoring as MoonPay grows. The role supports remote/hybrid work in the US.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of US banking or regulated financial services experience.
• Proven leadership in first-line risk, business controls, or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of US banking regulation and supervisory expectations.
• Experience enabling fiduciary, trust, custody or related banking activities.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the first-line risk and control framework across MoonPay activities.
• Embed controls into business processes with clear ownership.
• Establish a robust control monitoring and testing program.
• Develop controls for fiduciary, custody and regulated activities.
• Partner across Risk, Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit to define ownership and accountability.
• Scale and govern control framework as the business grows.
