Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to inspect, test, and service commercial fire sprinkler systems. The role requires an RME-I license and at least five years of hands-on experience with NFPA standards and sprinkler inspections.

Responsibilities include documenting results, communicating deficiencies to customers, and ensuring compliance with codes. The candidate should read plans, work independently in the field, and use inspection software and Outlook for

Qualifications

• Current RME-I license required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on fire sprinkler service and inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 25 requirements and fire sprinkler codes.
• Ability to read sprinkler system plans, inspection documentation, and equipment information.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate inspection records.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently in the field while supporting a team.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and inspection reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections and testing of commercial fire sprinkler systems.
• Inspect system components such as valves, alarms, waterflow devices, tamper switches, connections, gauges.
• Identify deficiencies and needed repairs during inspections.
• Document inspection results and complete reports and certificates.
• Ensure inspections are thorough, accurate, and timely.
• Communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes.
• Participate in team meetings and other related duties.
