NV5 is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to oversee projects from concept through construction documents. You will apply CAD and design software to develop detailed drawings, estimate costs, and manage schedules while coordinating with engineers, code officials, and the project team.

The role requires 6–8 years of demonstrated design experience and a technical degree or CAD diploma. Travel to sites is expected as needed, and you will contribute to ongoing standards and client presentations.

Formación

• 6-8 years of demonstrated design experience.
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Technology from an accredited technical college.
• Diploma from a Drafting/CAD school.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer aided drafting.
• Working knowledge of mechanical or electrical system design.
• Understanding and knowledge of applicable design codes
• Must be able to communicate with a variety of individuals; follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to travel to work sites as needed or required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Designer supervises assigned projects to ensure client commitments are met, on time and within budget.
• Design tasks using CAD and engineering design software; prepare construction documents.
• Develop cost estimates and project schedules; organize and maintain project files.
• Coordinate with project team and code officials; participate in proposals and client presentations.
• Prepare drawings of designs originated and review submittals and RFI’s.
• Maintain liaison with clients after project completion and contribute to standards.
