Westinghouse Electric Company seeks an experienced fire protection professional to plan, execute, and lead complex protection design and assessment work. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams, delivering rigorous technical packages and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires substantial experience, PE licensure or equivalent, and the ability to guide junior staff while maintaining high technical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related professional experience in fire protection.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical education.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, Limited License, C.E.T., NICET, CFPS, or other registration/certification.
• Review the work of others, lead defined scopes or small groups, and exercise mature technical judgement.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute complex fire protection technical assignments within primary areas of depth.
• Lead small groups, defined scopes, or multi-deliverable work packages on projects and client assignments.
• Develop, coordinate, and review technical deliverables: calculations, inputs, layouts, specifications, design-basis docs, system narratives, and reports.
• Resolve routine and complex technical issues and escalate when needed to senior authorities.
• Lead technical interfaces with clients, vendors, internal stakeholders, and field personnel.
• Maintain technical currency through project work, standards, literature, and professional development.
