Job summary

Progressive Mechanical, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Fire Protection Design Manager to supervise and train the current design team. You will work alongside the Operations Manager and Division Manager on projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.

You will review drawings and calculations for NFPA compliance, assign work, and help designers advance NICET goals while participating in planning sessions. Occasional design work may be required.

Qualifications

• NICET Level III certification required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Hydra-CAD, and Revit.

Position Overview

Fire Protection Design Manager will be responsible for supervising, managing, training, and teaching the current designers within the office. The fire protection Design Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Division Manager on current and upcoming projects.

General Responsibilities

• Develop quality and control methods
• Assign projects to designers
• Review all design drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material submittals for compliance with specifications and NFPA codes
• Review stock lists for projects
• Assist designers in advancing with NICET goals
• Participate in department meetings to review projects progress and future projects
• Design Jobs when required

Qualifications

• NICET Level III (minimum requirement)
• Auto-Cad, Hydra-Cad, and Revit experience
• Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation?
