Job summary

Capital One seeks a Sr Manager IC in FinOps & AI Enablement for the Analytics Team. You will own cost and AI leverage across a multi-petabyte data platform, delivering three new systems in six months while handling production support and on-call duties.

This role emphasizes architecture, cross-team collaboration, and implementing scalable AI-enabled insights. You will work with a stack including Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Trino/Presto, Nomad, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 6+ years software engineering experience; 1+ year cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with large-scale data platforms, production systems, and cost/infrastructure optimization.
• Fluent with a broad stack: JS/TS, Java, Python, SQL, Go; strong cloud and open-source ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own cost- and AI-leverage layer of analytics platform; ship three net-new systems in first six months.
• Lead production support and on-call rotation for platforms and models.
• Oversee data warehouse, event ingestion, and Airflow orchestration stacks.
• Develop cost-attribution and forecast-driven autoscaling pipelines; build Gen AI system for NL2SQL/RAG.
