Job summary

Nationwide Fixture Installations is seeking an experienced carpenter supervisor to lead install crews and coordinate with clients, GCs and subs on retail and commercial projects. You will interpret architectural layouts, manage 3–8 person crews, and ensure safety and on-time delivery of fixtures and cabinetry.

The role requires five years of finish carpentry experience and at least one year of supervisory responsibility, with willingness to travel for extended periods and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School, Trade School or Equivalent.
• Experience: Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience.
• One year minimum supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Capable of managing and motivating others.
• Interact professionally with clients, general contractors and sub-contractors.
• Clearly and effectively communicate with Project Management Team
• Personnel management of crews 3-8 people.
• Interpret layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements.
• Evaluate site conditions, construction and delivery schedules.
• Identify non-contract scope and generate added work changes if necessary.
• Working knowledge of architectural drawings, shop drawings and floorplans, woodworking tools.
• Receive, stage and manage inventory of millwork and fixture parts.
• Perform carpentry tasks including installation of cabinets, countertops, trim, panel systems, fixtures.
• Submit time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically.
• Support a strong commitment to site safety.

Requirements

Education: High School, Trade School or Equivalent

Conditions of employment

• Undergo pre-employment DRUG SCREENING, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK and MVR screening for approved driving status.
• Complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online.
• Available to work overtime as needed. A typical workweek is 40 to 60 hours.
• Flexible to work non-conventional shifts if needed (overnight projects may occur).
• Able to travel from home for durations of 2-8 weeks.
• Provide your basic hand tools and cordless drill.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, Forklift, aerial lift (Training will be provided as needed).

• Submit time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically.
• Support a strong commitment to site safety.

Physical Demands

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, work from an aerial lift. Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting. Work with materials over your head for short durations. Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
