Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Lead Financial Analyst to provide program finance support to the Advanced Effects Business Line within the Air Dominance & Strike Division. You will own cost forecasting for hardware programs transitioning from development to production.

You will build bottoms-up cost models, track variances, and deliver monthly reporting while collaborating with program managers, supply chain, and accounting.

Qualifications

• Autonomously drive projects and communicate financial performance clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Understand how material, labor, and indirect costs flow through a manufacturing/defense program lifecycle.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience building or managing cost models for physical products (BOM-based costing, production cost build-ups).
• Proficiency with financial systems; ERP platforms (Oracle preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, program finance, or cost analysis—preferably in hardware manufacturing or integration.
• Excellent communication skills—presenting financial narratives and variance explanations to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and carry projects forward with minimal direction.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• DoD industry experience or familiarity with government contract cost accounting (FAR/CAS).
• Security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Experience navigating ERP transitions or standing up new forecasting tools.
• Exposure to supply chain or procurement finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated program finance support to the Advanced Effects Business Line.
• Track and forecast the cost build-up of hardware products across lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Supply Chain, and Accounting for cost visibility.
• Mature ERP and forecasting tool environments.
• Own program-level cost forecasting and EAC/ETC development for hardware programs transitioning to production.
• Build bottoms‑up cost models across material, labor, overhead, and subcontract elements.
• Track actuals vs baselines and perform root‑cause analysis with teams.
• Deliver monthly program financial reporting and narratives to leadership.
• Reconcile procurement activity, inventory movements, and cost postings with Supply Chain and Accounting.
• Develop forecasting workflows in FP&A and ERP tools (Oracle, Anaplan, Foundry).
• Assist in pricing activities and proposal cost volume development.
• Contribute to long‑range planning and production rate ramp financial modeling.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and data integrity.
