Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across Digital, Central Operations, and fixed cost reporting. You will partner with leaders to translate data into strategic recommendations and build models to support investment decisions.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance experience, advanced Excel, and strong communication.

The Lead Financial Analyst will lead the budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, strategic planning, business partnering, and process improvement to support informed decision-making and drive financial performance for Digital, Central Operations, and company-wide fixed cost reporting. Your Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budgeting process and develop periodic financial forecasts.
• Review actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify trends and variances.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Investigate significant revenue, expense, margin, and cash-flow variances and communicate key drivers.
• Work with department heads to develop budgets, monitor spending, and improve financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, reporting, planning processes, and financial systems.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to synthesize complex data, identify trends, evaluate alternatives, and develop recommendations that support informed business decisions.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$153,300 + 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law.
