Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Lead validator for Finance and Analytics models within the Model Risk Management team. You will validate a range of financial and analytics models, managing end-to-end validation engagements for high-complexity projects.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years in model validation, strong Python/SQL skills, and a PhD/MS/BS in a quantitative field. The role supports a remote-first environment with occasional office work as needed.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience in model development, validation, quantitative finance, or data analytics.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, ALM, and actuarial/statistical forecasting.
• Experience with scripting languages and large-scale datasets; comfort with Excel, Python, Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent challenges of financial and analytics models through validation and monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end validation engagements on high-complexity models.
• Identify weaknesses and opportunities; communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with model owners and stakeholders to remediate findings and strengthen governance.
• Partner to implement and maintain the MRM framework.
• Support timely resolution of audit, regulatory, and examiner requests.
