Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) invites applications for a Full-time Principal Faculty position to teach Filmmaking in the undergraduate program Film & Video within the Department of Media Arts. The ideal candidate will be rooted in storytelling and have a holistic approach to filmmaking.

The Faculty will teach a range of visual storytelling tools, technologies, and innovative ideations. They will work closely with Department Chairs and Film Centre Director to keep the program vibrant,

Qualifikationen

• Terminal degree (MFA/PhD) in Film or related field.
• 3+ years of college teaching experience.
• Proven professional filmmaking with festival or distribution recognition.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and production equipment.
• Ability to integrate new technologies into curriculum.

Aufgaben

• Teach 3 courses per semester (FYE to graduate coursework).
• Mentor and advise students; foster their creative and professional development.
• Collaborate with Department Chairs and Film Centre staff to meet student needs.
• Participate in program development, admissions, and governance activities.
• Maintain an active professional practice or research agenda.
