Job summary

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, invites applications for a Lead Field Technician role in Marshall, MI. The position focuses on safety leadership, economical resin regeneration, and maintenance of plant systems while developing expertise in ion exchange regeneration processes.

You will supervise maintenance activities, learn pretreatment processes, and ensure equipment reliability. Compensation includes hourly pay with strong benefits and growth opportunities in a safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to learn pretreatment/mechanical water treatment equipment including RO, water softeners, filters, and DI.
• Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and conduct safety inspections on plant equipment.
• Implement and maintain the plant's preventive maintenance program.
• Perform preventative & corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Prepare specifications and procure parts and equipment through the procurement process.
• Evaluate cost-effectiveness of repair vs. replacement and identify reusable components.
• Assist with supervising outside contractors for regular work.
