Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Field Technician III to support maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecom site infrastructure. You will lead field crews, read customer plans, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

You will adhere to OSHA standards, prepare AutoCAD drawings, and interpret architectural drawings for telecom and related projects. This role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years general construction experience; cell tower experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience with AT&T or Verizon Wireless Networks.
• Commissioning and Integration experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Field Crew.
• Read and interpret customer detail plans.
• Provide superior customer service while ensuring timely, safe work.
• Adhere to OSHA and industry standards.
• Prepare field sketches using AutoCAD.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications for telecom, commercial, residential, and light industrial projects.
• Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
• Review peer work product.
• Other duties as assigned.
