Job description

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, has a full-time opening for a Lead Field Technician in White, GA.

The Lead Field Technician will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for overall safety, directing activities related to resin regeneration, product production, preventative maintenance, and leadership of continuous improvement. The role requires learning and understanding ion exchange regeneration processes and performing tasks to maintain equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct safety inspections and follow safety protocols
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, process systems, and facilities
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Procure parts and equipment, evaluate repair vs. replacement, and supervise contractors
  • Assist as Plant Process Operator or perform administrative duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping; may operate forklifts

Position Details:

  • Location: White, GA
  • Shift: 1st shift or 4 pm - 12:30 am

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Technical proficiency in pretreatment/mechanical water treatment equipment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • No immigration sponsorship available

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Work in confined spaces, lift, climb, and work in challenging environments with proper PPE

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in wastewater or water treatment
  • Knowledge of pumps, welding, electrical safety, hydraulics, valves, PLCs, and industrial maintenance tools
  • Formal vocational training or equivalent experience in related fields
